Just by way of rounding this item off, I would like to mention
a couple of examples of accidental projection. These examples were largely free
of adverse consequences, but serve to illustrate that the ability to pop out
of the body is something we all have and experience if we are alert to the possibility.
I was lying in bed feeling really tired and ill. A bad cold,
coupled with lack of sleep had left me miserable, weak, exhausted and irritable.
And sometime soon (much too soon of course) the alarm was going to go off and
summon me to work.
But it never did. I slept for a while, and then woke up. Realising
that too much time had passed (the room was a lot lighter than it should have
been), I sat up and looked at my clock. It was shockingly late. Then I sat up
and looked at my clock. The time was as I had just seen it.
A very good friend of mine, whilst suffering a severe depression
became suicidal. Lacking the will to make a physical attempt on his life, something
that would cause a lot of additional distress to anyone finding his body, he
decided to will himself dead.
After some time and concentration, he felt a movement and
found himself floating about a foot above his body, and a little displaced.
Fear took hold and he snapped back into his physical body
- fortunately to survive.
Be careful what you wish for - you may just get it.
